Acceptable Stay in a Historic Building

The room was huge, so it looked exactly like the pictures! The bathroom being around the corner felt nice. It created a separate area. They brought breakfast to the room and it was amazing. I seemed like I stayed in a castle, because it was a previous home of a Viscount.
The room was particularly noisy. It seemed like there was a pump under our room that turned on every 30 minutes all night. Street noise continued until early morning. I asked if the street was noisy. I was told no!

Fantastic Stay!
helpful staff hot breakfast fine architecture
The staff was helpful! Every staff member was very kind and addressed our needs immediately. I enjoyed that hot breakfast came right to my room! This saved time and reduced any morning stress, a plus. We also liked the style of the rooms. The architecture was a highlight of our stay, with rococo-era ceiling molding that added a touch of elegance.
I found that the street noise was quite loud at night. This made it a bit hard to sleep! Earplugs did help, but better soundproofing would be ideal.

beautiful views tasty breakfast engine noise street noise
the room was quite big. i liked the beautiful view over the city towards the water. the location worked well for exploring the town. the breakfast arrived to my room each day, tasty.
my room was especially noisy. it seemed a pump or engine was under my room that turned on every thirty minutes all through the night. also, there was a considerable amount of street noise until early morning. i specifically asked if the street was noisy and was told no.

central location large room breakfast service street noise many stairs dim lighting
i loved how central this place was! we were so close to all the major attractions. our room was a beautiful suite river view and it was huge! the breakfast served in the room was such a treat.
The noise at night was a real problem for me. Street sounds kept me awake. the stairs were quite a climb, especially with luggage. also, i found that there wasn't a lot of light in the room. It felt a bit dim.

Charming Boutique Experience
accommodating staff spacious room great breakfast unique experience
I found the staff very helpful and accommodating. My room, a lovely suite, was very spacious with great breakfast brought to my room. The building seemed like a unique place. This hotel was more like a fancy bed and breakfast instead of a typical hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
The walls in my room weren't so clean and the carpets, especially, could have been better. I did notice that the rooms get cold due to big windows, though the AC was not enough.

Breakfast arrived directly to my room. I noticed a large selection with fresh juice, coffee, eggs, breads, pastries and yogurt included. The breakfast felt luxurious and provided a solid start to the day.
